Jellyfish Nebula IC 443 – Finally got it!

So after a week of attempts, first failed to image it at all (off target) second time, blew out stars and insufficient data, I got some clear and dark skies to capture 2 hours of data at 90 second exposures. I’m finally somewhat happy with what I captured. I think another 2 hours of data on this, possibly with an OIII filter to bring some more of the details out would further enhance those faint areas.

Better handling of the stars in post processing also helped to tame those two bright stars Tejat and Propus are easy to blow out when stretching the image. Overall I’m very pleased with my progress for my first week in Astrophotography!
